Arms Sales Update:

@ The Dominican Republic has signed a contract to buy 10 Super Tucano aircraft from Brazil. These will be used for pilot training, border patrols, and counter-narcotic missions.

@ Poland has asked for bids on a new 8x8 wheeled armored personnel carrier. Bidders include MOWAG (LAV-II, LAV-III), Russia (BTR-80, BTR-90), Austria (Pandur), Singapore (AV81), France (VCBI), and Ukraine (BTR-94). --Stephen V Cole
