Procurement: China Supplies Rockets to Iraqi Terrorists

Archives

July 25, 2007: U.S. Troops
captured several dozen Chinese made Iranian 107mm rockets in Iraq. The rockets
were clearly marked as to their builder (China), and previous owner (Iran). When confronted with
this kind of evidence, Iran denies it, and accuses the United States of setting
them up. The Chinese say as little as possible, but do admit to selling weapons
to Iran. For the Iranians, there is no penalty for shipping clearly marked
Iranian or Chinese made weapons into Iraq or Afghanistan. They just deny
everything, and no one can do anything about it. China is Iran's largest
customer for oil. Thus China is willing to do just about anything Iran wants.
